Since 1998, Pentar has successfully completed more than 50 production programs, with products supplied to the telecommunications, consumer, industrial, and medical markets.
Telecommunications
Beginning with the establishment of the company, Pentar has been in continuous production of GPS receivers. These devices are used with cellular towers worldwide to accumulate accurate timing marks from the atomic clock within each GPS satellite. This allows precise timing and control synchronization between each cellular tower.
Consumer
Pentar produces a diversity of consumer electronic devices, many of which are embedded within instantly recognizable consumer product brand names. Technologies range from wireless communications technologies, such as low power Bluetooth modules (BTLE), ultrasonic sensors, and various types of touch panel and display modules. In addition, Pentar produces the Recon Outdoors brand of hunting and outdoor sportsman products, including scouting and surveillance cameras and camouflage netting.
Industrial
Ultrasonic, IR motion, and capacitive sensors are produced by Pentar for the industrial marketplace. These sensors are used for wireless control of automatic water faucets, paper dispensers, etc. Wireless links and motor controls are examples of other industrial products supplied by the company.
Medical
A wide variety of medical devices are produced for use in hospitals. Nurse call appliances, emergency alarms, various monitoring systems, and devices for asset tracking are examples of products manufactured by Pentar.
